Poul Klee posters have for many years been a classic in the Scandinavian interior design. His simple and abstract approach to art is extremely popular and something that many like. If you are looking for a stylish poster, Then Poul Klee is an obvious choice.
Paul Klee (18 December 1879 – 29 June 1940) was a German-Swiss artist and artistic theorist.
Paul Klee was born into a musical family in Munichbuchsee near Bern. His mother was from Switzerland, but under Swiss law, he gained his father's German citizenship. He was taught violin as a child and became an accomplished violinist all his life.
He spent time making up his mind before choosing to become a painting artist. He came to Munich in 1898/99 and studied until 1902, among other things by making a study trip to Italy, where he studied works by Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Pinturicchio (the frescoes of the Vatican) and Boticelli. He also noted Hans von Marées' frescoes at the aquarium in Naples and the sea creatures you could see there.
