Hilma af Klint (26 October 1862 – 21 October 1944) was a Swedish artist, anthropologist and pioneer of abstract painting. Hilma of Klint included in the group The Five and her systematic paintings are visual representations of complex philosophical ideas. Hilma of Klint is one too many unknown people in Swedish art history.[2]

Hilma of Klint was a radical pioneer of the art that did away with visible reality. As early as 1906, she developed an abstract imagery. Hilma of Klint's works is not about pure abstraction, about form and color for its own sake, but about gestinating it not visible. Hilma of Klint paintings is more close to the works of such abstract artists as Wassily Kandinsky, Piet Mondrian, and Kazimir Malevitj, who are still considered pioneers in abstract 1900s art.
