Unique X-rays of plants / The inner essence of plants
What does a plant look like if you X-ray it?
Tor G. Nitzelius, dendrologist, garden curator and head of Gothenburg's botanical garden set out to find out. Together with his wife and world-famous photographer Lennart Nilsson and Professor Sven Roland Kjellberg at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden, they slavishly started photographing 100-show plants.
The nearly 500 photos of different species then fell into oblivion, but were discovered again by chance fifty years later by visual artist Johan Brink, who has processed selected images.
Design X-ray of Tor G. Nitzelius and designed by Johan Brink for Fine Little Day
